too.long.

It's been too long since I have blogged. I actually have really missed it! But have also been sooo tired by the end of the day, that I fall asleep before my laptop starts up! Right now I am working full time, have 2 boys playing soccer, school for boys and hubby, 30 weeks pregnant...and the list goes on and on.

I love my life...but man this girl is tired!

But tonight I have something exciting to share! It is sort of bittersweet but I am excited. I currently work full time as an office manager for an awesome dental office in town. But just announed yesterday, at our staff meeting, that I will only be returning part time after my maternity leave! I have worked since I was 16 so this is a huge upcoming change for me...but I can't wait! Can't wait to spend more time with my loves. to snuggle a little more each day. to be able to make 3 meals a day for them. to be home when they get home from school....all the awesome things a mama gets to do!

where in the world did time go? I remember your "birth"day like it was yesterday. I remember being just off bed rest and taking your oldest brother Dawson to school and then Ethan to preschool. I remember making lunch for my office and stopping by and visiting. I remember going for a burger with grandpa for lunch.

Then I felt like something wasn't quite right so I called my OB and she said to come on in for a non-stress test. So I waited for Dadddy to get home from work and we took our time making our way up to Seattle, thinking we had time. I was put on the NST and within 60 seconds the nurse said..."well, you just bought yourself a room at the hospital. Looks like today's the day!"


I was confused but so excited! I knew I had waited 9 months to met you. but was today really the day?! And then all the excitement...he'll be here in the next few hours!! So I was induced and we met our angel 6 hours later!


With all 3 boys it has always been only Dickson and I in the room for delivery. I love the thought of having my mom, mother in law and sisters in the room. But the moment comes and goes so quickly and Dickson and I like to cherish it and keep it to ourselves...is that selfish? Either way it is how we have chosen for our children's births to be.


We do share the moment but after everyone is checked out and ok'd healthwise...then the room floods with our sweet families.


So today we celebrate you, Liam. Your sweet smile. your precious looks. your cute tootsies (our word for toes!). and all the love you give us. We love you so much and could have not asked for a more precious gift from up above.

Tonight my heart is bittersweet. My baby Liam will be one on Friday. ONE! Where in the world has time gone?! I love watching him grow....but sad that he's getting so big! So tonight I snuggle him as he falls asleep in our bed....and watch him dream...cause I know someday this sweet moment will be no more.

fall is also a favorite season of mine because it means soccer! my husband is the coach for our 2 older boys' teams. there is nothing more attractive then watching the gorgeous man you are in love with talk to and teach little 5 and 7 year olds.

Earlier this week I shared how my sister came to our home and took some family pictures. I wanted to share some of my absolute favorites. our three boys...the loves of our life.

I am absolutely loving that I have all boys lately! And another one due in December! 

There is just one small issue. We live in a very small home...800 sq ft and 2 bedrooms. We LOoOoOVE our home, property and the town we live in, so we try not to complain. BUT its tight. Sooo...I have been dreaming about all the fun things I could do with the boys room. And this is what I am loving at the moment:

But then I ran across THIS room.....and this is it! I have to have! So my husband and father in law have been so kind to actually "consider" how we could make this work! Aren't I the lucky one!!!

Lately I have had newborns on the brain. Maybe it's because Liam turning one next month is bittersweet for me. Or maybe it's because I am 6 1/2 months pregnant. Either way I will never be able to get enough of newborns. Their smell, their soft skin...all.the.perfection.

I can't imagine a morning not waking up to this
Our youngest son, Liam, is still in a bassinet next to our bed. (crazy I know!)

So each morning around 3am, Dickson and I wake up to Liam crawling over dad to get in the middle of us. Then he proceeds to think its time to play and yell out his favorite word...dog! Most people I tell this story to moan a little and say "I can't imagine not getting my sleep". Maybe I felt the same the first couple times. But one day it hit me. My babes are only little for such a short time. And we are their everything for only such a short period.

If me losing a little sleep is what it takes to see this smile...sign me up!!!

the ocean

The ocean is our families favorite place on earth. It's like a little piece of heaven to us. Whether we are in California, Florida, Barbados or Mazatlan...it does not matter. As long as we have sand and the sea. We are so happy our boys have inherited our love for one of God's most beautiful creations!

another first!

WOW!!! We have had so many firsts in our life...dates, children, homes, "real" jobs....and now another! I have always thought of having a blog, but never really knew where to start.
