this weekend my gorgeous, sweet and talented sister Lauren came over to take some pictures for Liam's upcoming first birthday. we decided to take advantage of the beautiful lighting and snap a couple family pictures also. Here is a little teaser!

I can't imagine a morning not waking up to this
Our youngest son, Liam, is still in a bassinet next to our bed. (crazy I know!)

So each morning around 3am, Dickson and I wake up to Liam crawling over dad to get in the middle of us. Then he proceeds to think its time to play and yell out his favorite word...dog! Most people I tell this story to moan a little and say "I can't imagine not getting my sleep". Maybe I felt the same the first couple times. But one day it hit me. My babes are only little for such a short time. And we are their everything for only such a short period.

If me losing a little sleep is what it takes to see this smile...sign me up!!!

the ocean

The ocean is our families favorite place on earth. It's like a little piece of heaven to us. Whether we are in California, Florida, Barbados or Mazatlan...it does not matter. As long as we have sand and the sea. We are so happy our boys have inherited our love for one of God's most beautiful creations!

another first!

WOW!!! We have had so many firsts in our life...dates, children, homes, "real" jobs....and now another! I have always thought of having a blog, but never really knew where to start. But after a sweet and encouraging email from Casey over at www.thewiegands.com, I knew it was time! Time to share our love story and a place to record our memories. Enjoy!
